The makers of Don't Trouble the Trouble released the film's teaser on July 13, announcing a worldwide theatrical release on September 11. The fantasy drama stars Fahadh Faasil, alongside child actor Ssara Palekar. The film is written and directed by Shashank Yeleti, and is set to be released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

The teaser opens with Faasil's character, Suri, asking Ssara’s character if she’s excited, as he proceeds to introduce her to magic. Further packed with scenes of Suri impressing the young girl with silly “magic tricks” and making her disappear, the teaser reveals action scenes with Faasil making quick escapes, and the young girl’s character eventually appearing to gain powers.

The teaser establishes the film as a blend of comedy and fantasy, with the child character appearing to possess abilities that Fahadh's character cannot account for. The teasers, released in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil, suggest that the film was shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, with the Tamil version dubbed. No further plot details have been officially disclosed.

Earlier this year, THR India reported that actor Saurabh Sachdeva had joined the cast of the film. Sachdeva, a veteran acting coach and performer, was seen in the Malayalam film Eko, making his debut in the industry. With Don’t Trouble the Trouble, the actor continues to make his mark across multiple regional industries.
