'Dragon': Prithviraj Confirms Title Of Prashanth Neel-Jr NTR's Film

A recent interview with actor Prithiviraj Sukumaran led to the title reveal.

According to a report in The Times of India, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed the title of Prashanth Neel’s next film. In an interview, promoting his recent release Sarzameen, the Malayalam actor reportedly noted that the film will be titled Dragon

The actor was referring to the casting of the Telugu film in the interview and further said that Malayalam actors Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon were playing key roles in the film. In the same answer, he went on to confirm the film’s title. The film's title was earlier speculated to be Dragon. The production team had not announced the title before this. No one from the film’s team has either confirmed or denied the news.

Prithiviraj will next be joining the sets of a big-budget Malayalam film titled Khalifa. 15 years since the release of their film Pokkiri Raja (2010), director Vysakh and Prithviraj Sukumaran will reunite for this film. The film’s pooja function took place in Kerala recently, and its shoot is expected to begin in August in London. 


Prithviraj posted a picture of the film’s clapboard with the caption “Aamir Ali will see you soon!”. A poster of Khalifa was launched three years ago in October 2022 with the caption, “Vengeance Will Be Written In Gold.”


As for actor Jr NTR, he will reportedly come on board filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas' upcoming mythological epic, which was earlier being headlined by Allu Arjun. Jr NTR is said to play Lord Kumaraswamy in the film, which is produced by S Radha Krishna and Naga Vamsi. 

Jr NTR, meanwhile, is awaiting the release of his next, War 2. Co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, the latest instalment of YRF's spy universe will release in August and have a box office clash with Rajinikanth-led Coolie

Prithiviraj played the character of Colonel Vijay Menon in Kayoze Irani's latest Hindi film and has worked with Neel in Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire (2023).
