'Dude', 'Bison' Box-Office: Pradeep Ranganathan-Starrer Grosses Over ₹80 Crore Globally; Mari Selvaraj Film Packs a Punch

The three Diwali releases of Tamil cinema, Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dude, filmmaker Mari Selvaraj's directorial Bison and actor Harish Kalyan-led Diesel released last Friday to varying degrees of critical reception and box-office performance.
Directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude has dominated the holiday period with solid collections across the board. The romantic action comedy maintained a double digit figure after debuting with nearly ₹10 crore on Friday.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film continued its good hold on Saturday and Sunday, where it netted ₹10 crore each. On Momday, the movie minted the same amount to clock a solid four-day total of nearly ₹41 crore. The film is expected to do well even on Tuesday and will soon cross the ₹50 crore mark in India.
According to the makers, the film has grossed over ₹80 crore in four days in terms of worldwide collections. The official X account of Mythri Movie Makers posted the update on box-office and wrote, "A blockbuster Diwali for Dude 💥💥"
Meanwhile, Bison has also held strong against the box-office face-off with Dude, turning its critical acclaim to healthy collections. Headlined by Dhruv Vikram, the sports drama started on Friday with collections over ₹2 crore, as reported by Sacnilk, but then managed to record a good trending thanks to its fantastic word of mouth.
On Saturday and Sunday, the film netted ₹3.4 crore and ₹4.5 crore respectively, followed by its biggest day on Monday when it clocked an impressive ₹5.65 crore thanks to the holiday.
The solid trending of the film has ensured that Bison is on track to emerge as a hit at the box-office with the film's four-day total estimated to be around ₹17 crore net in India.
Among the trhree releases, Diesel had the slowest start as per the industry tracker, where it managed to gross over ₹2 crore globally during the Diwali weekend.
