Following a sensational — and entirely sold-out — show in Mumbai earlier this year, Ed Sheeran is set to return to India in January 2025 with his biggest tour yet. The global sensation will perform in six Indian cities as part of his + - = ÷ x (Mathematics) Tour. Known for his heartfelt lyrics and romantic melodies, this would mark Sheeran’s fourth time performing in the country.
The tour kicks off in Pune on January 30 at Yash Lawns, and then goes to in Hyderabad on February 2 at Ramoji Film City. On February 5, Sheeran will perform in Chennai at the YMCA grounds, and then in Bengaluru on February 8 at the NICE grounds. The singer will then head over to JN Stadium in Shillong on February 12 before his final performance at Leisure Valley Ground in Delhi NCR on February 15.
This set-list will highlight Sheeran’s latest chart-topping album, along with the iconic numbers he’s known for, like ‘Shape of You’, ‘Thinking Out Loud’, ‘Perfect’, ‘Shivers’ and ‘Castle on the Hill’, ensuring that there’s something for everyone.
During his Mumbai concert in March 2024, the singer surprised fans by having Punjabi rapper Diljit Dosanjh share the stage with him. Six months later, Sheeran returned the favour by joining Dosanjh on stage in Birmingham as part of the latter’s Dil-Luminati Tour.
Sheeran has also announced shows in Bhutan and the Middle East in early 2025. Having launched this record-breaking + - = ÷ x Tour in Dublin in 2022, he has completed over 134 performances to date; this upcoming leg, besides his European run, will serve as the grand finale to his Mathematics era.
Starting with Dua Lipa on November 30, and Maroon 5 on December 3, AP Dhillon and Karan Aujla from December 7 onwards, India is ready for a stellar line-up of concerts this year. Besides Sheeran’s tour in January 2025, Coldplay is also returning with four sold-out shows that month, along with Lolapalooza India headlining with bands like Green Day, singers like Shawn Mendes and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, among many others.
