Nerve-shredding medical drama The Pitt and Matthew Rhys-led horror-comedy sensation Widow’s Bay took home the top prizes at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, announced on September 14. Created by R. Scott Gemmill, The Pitt led the night with 25 nominations, winning Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actor for Noah Wyle, after also picking up five Creative Arts Emmys.
Among other winners, Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn won the acting honours alongside Wyle in the drama categories, while Widow’s Bay dominated the comedy categories, winning Outstanding Comedy Series along with three acting awards. The Traitors won Outstanding Reality Competition Program, while DTF St. Louis was named Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
