Annapurna Studios is ramping up its film distribution network across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, kicking off a stacked September slate with the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer I’m Game, which hit theaters on Thursday.
The studio’s upcoming distribution lineup includes the Karthi-led Sardar 2, Anand Deverakonda’s EPIC - First Semester, and Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, which Annapurna is both co-producing and distributing.
"Telugu audiences have always been passionate film lovers and have celebrated great cinema irrespective of language," Supriya Yarlagadda, Executive Director - Annapurna Studios, said in a statement.
The expansion also reflects a broader strategy to back cross-language titles for the Telugu market. The studio recently handled distribution for Malayalam titles like Eko and Balan: The Boy, as well as the Telugu dub of Suriya’s Tamil feature Karuppu (titled Veerabhadrudu in Telugu) and Akkineni Akhil’s Lenin. Annapurna Studios also recently co-produced the Telangana-set family drama Pallaburusu.
"For us, cinema has no linguistic barriers when the content connects with the audience. Through our distribution initiative, we want to bring films that we genuinely believe deserve to be experienced on the big screen to audiences across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while building a transparent and sustainable distribution ecosystem," Yarlagadda added.
The stuido will also be gearing up for their big film this year, which is Nagarjuna Akkineni's 100th film, titled King100, also starring Tabu.
Written and directed by R.A. Karthik, the landmark film is set to release in theatres worldwide on December 24, 2026 — clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's long-awaited King.
