Top Indian production houses and streaming platforms—including Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Aamir Khan Productions, Dharma Productions, Yash Raj Films, Netflix, and JioHotstar—will be assembling under one roof for a specially curated writer-meets-producer event in October as part of the FICCI Frame Your Idea (FYI) 2025.

FICCI Frames, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will host a networking platform on October 7-8, featuring over 50 producers, where screenwriters can secure up to 24 face-to-face meetings across two days.

According to a press release, FYI has facilitated over 5,000 meetings since 2015 that have directly resulted in major acquisitions and career breakthroughs, including Netflix's critically acclaimed Choked, which was directed by Anurag Kashyap and penned by Nihit Bhave, an FYI alumnus writer.

The 2025 lineup includes Rajkumar Hirani Films, Excel Entertainment, True Story Films (Hansal Mehta), Balaji Telefilms (Web), Applause Entertainment, Roy Kapur Films, Sony LIV, Warner Bros. Discovery (Animation), Alchemy Films (Siddharth P Malhotra), BaniJay Asia, Collective Artist Network, Colours (TV channel) and Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures LLP among others.

Viraf Patell, actor, screenwriter, and creative director, FICCI FYI, said the event "democratises" access. "A 10-minute meeting can change a life. And the ripple effects of these meetings will be felt in stories told for years to come."

"We are thrilled to revive FYI alongside the 25th edition of FICCI Frames. FYI is part of our continuing legacy of supporting storytellers and giving structure to India's creative ecosystem," said Leena Jaisani, Deputy Secretary General & Cluster Head – Media & Entertainment, Retail, FMCG, E-Commerce, IPR, Cascade and Young Leaders Forum.

According to the organisers, FYI is a "marketplace" and not a contest, with open access for screenwriters to submit their story at any stage of development, for any format (film, web, TV, non-fiction, animation). "It's high time India had a platform like this, so we made it happen. We now hope the writers make good of this unique opportunity," states Ashish Kulkarni, Founding Director, FYI, & Founder, Punnaryug Artvision.

Munjal Shroff, Founding Director, FYI Pvt Ltd, Chairman - FICCI AVGC Forum & Director & Chief Operating Officer, Graphiti Studio Pvt Ltd, said the team has put in a lot of thought on how FYI works, and it is "designed to suit the needs" of producers and writers, authors and publishers.
