The Indian-American vocalist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist secures a prestigious win at the 67th Grammy Awards, sharing the honour with her collaborators
Indian-American vocalist and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon has won a Grammy for her album Triveni in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category at the 67th edition of the prestigious awards.
The event, organised by the Recording Academy, took place on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Tandon, a global business leader and the older sister of former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, shared the award with her collaborators, South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto. Their collaborative effort on Triveni stood out in a competitive category that included Break of Dawn by Ricky Kej, Opus by the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn by Anoushka Shankar, and Warriors of Light by Radhika Vekaria.
Reflecting on her win, Tandon expressed gratitude and joy in a backstage interview with the Recording Academy. “It feels amazing,” she said. “We had such wonderful nominees in the category. The fact that we won this is really an extra special moment for us. There were fabulous musicians who were nominated with us.”
Tandon, who grew up in Chennai before making her mark on the global stage, has long been celebrated for her contributions to both music and business. Her passion for the arts has been evident through her philanthropic work and commitment to preserving and innovating traditional Indian music.
