Just beyond Bengaluru’s rush, Grover Vineyards invites you to unwind, taste, and take in the stillness of the hills.
For over 40 years, Grover Vineyards has shaped the story of Indian wine. Founded by Kanwal Grover, often regarded as the father of Indian viticulture, the vineyard blends French expertise with the richness of Indian soil. With more than 225 national and international awards, Grover has become a name synonymous with quality and authenticity. Set against the green backdrop of the Nandi Hills, the vineyard balances tradition and innovation. Modern techniques work hand in hand with careful craftsmanship, creating wines that reflect both precision and place.

The experience begins with a guided tour that takes visitors through every stage of winemaking. You walk through the vineyards, visit the cellars and barrel rooms, and see firsthand how harvesting, fermenting and blending come together. The process is explained in an easy-to-follow way, from how tannins affect texture to why ageing matters. It’s an engaging look at what goes into each bottle and how science and artistry work side by side.
After the tour, guests move to the La Réserve Tasting Room, where an in-house sommelier leads a curated tasting session. You try a selection of Grover’s best wines, while learning how to identify flavour notes, aromas and pairings. Each tasting reflects the vineyard’s character, connecting every glass back to the land and the people behind it.

The experience continues at La Réserve Lounge, Grover’s restaurant overlooking the vines. The menu features sourdough pizzas, handcrafted pastas, grilled meats, seafood and fresh seasonal vegetables. Each dish is designed to complement the wines served earlier. The setting is relaxed and open, encouraging long, easy conversations over good food and even better wine.
Before you leave, stop by the Boutique De La Réserve, Grover’s cellar door and retail space. It houses their signature collections like La Réserve, Chêne and the Art Collection, along with limited editions such as the Signet Series and Vendanges Tardives, available only at the estate. It’s a thoughtful way to take a piece of the experience home.

Grover Vineyards is open throughout the year, but the harvest season between January and March is especially memorable. The vines are full, the weather is pleasant, and you can watch the grapes being picked and crushed. Visitors looking for a more hands-on experience can also try grape stomping, a fun nod to traditional winemaking that’s popular with groups.
In a world that rarely slows down, Grover Vineyards offers space, stillness and time to savour. Whether you’re there for the wine, the food or just the quiet rhythm of the hills, the experience leaves you with a sense of calm that lingers long after you’ve left.
