'Gummadi Narsaiah': Shiva Rajkumar To Play A Telugu Leader In His Next

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar will next be seen portraying the beloved Telugu leader and former MLA Gummadi Narsaiah. Titled after Narsaiah, the film will be directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Prameshwar Hivrale. The makers of the film released a poster from the film, which featured the veteran Kannada actor in Narasaiah's attire. Narasaiah was a five-time MLA from the Communist Party of India.

Proud to announce that the biopic of Ex-MLA Gummadi Narsaiah Garu — the People’s Man, the People’s Voice — is being portrayed by none other than the Real Hero, Dr Shiva Rajkumar Garu," Hivrale wrote on Instagram. "His simplicity is his power. His bicycle is his symbol. His life… is an inspiration for generations. This is not just a film — it’s a movement. A salute to honesty, humanity, and the unbreakable spirit of service." The film will be produced by N Suresh Reddy under the banner of Pravallika Arts Creations.

Shiva Rajkumar will next be seen in Hemanth M Rao's upcoming film 666 Operation Dream Theatre. The film, co-starring Daali Dhananjaya and Shiva Rajkumar, is said to be a thriller. Frequent collaborators Charan Raj and Advaitha Gurumurthy reunite with Rao for the film (their last work together was in the Sapta Saagaradaache Ello films) on music and cinematography, respectively. Vishwas Kashyap, known for his work in Aachar & Co (2023), is the art director. Without revealing too much, the title teaser, which was out last month, created intrigue with a razor-sharp 70s thriller aesthetic.

The actor was also working with Rao on Bhairavana Kone Paata, an intense action film, which was announced a while back. But work on the film has been paused at the moment to let the Kannada actor recover from his illness. The actor will also be seen in important roles in Peddi and Jailer 2.
