'I, Nobody' Release Teaser: Prithviraj Sukumaran's Rajeevan is No Ordinary Man... Or Is He?

The makers of I, Nobody released a new teaser for the Malayalam film on July 7, days before its July 9 theatrical release. Directed by Nissam Basheer and written by Sameer Abdul, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Rajeevan, a government Secretariat employee who becomes entangled in a bank heist and is left scrambling to prove his innocence.

Announcing the release of the new teaser, Prithiviraj who is co-producing the film, wrote, "Nobody is ready for what is coming!!"

The new teaser frames the premise as a psychological thriller built around a social hierarchy, with the voiceover of a police officer explaining the relationship between the food chain and society. He hints that each character answers to someone above them, with Rajeevan positioned as the lowest link. The teaser raises the central question of whether Rajeevan is genuinely an ordinary man caught in extraordinary circumstances, or something more.

In a previous conversation with THR India, Prithviraj has described the character as an ordinary man who performs extraordinary actions, while still returning to an ordinary life. He described Rajeevan as a protagonist who ultimately cannot be viewed as a conventional hero.

The film co-stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key roles. The larger ensemble includes Ashokan, Vijaya Raghavan, Madhupal, Ganapathi and Vinay Forrt, among others The film is produced by Supriya Menon, Mukesh R. Mehta and CV Sarathi, with Harris Desom as executive producer.

Nissam Basheer and Sameer Abdul have previously worked together on Rorschach (2022), a psychological thriller starring Mammootty. According to Prithviraj, Abdul is known for his ability to locate unusual angles within ordinary settings.

Among Prithviraj's other upcoming projects are Khalifa, directed by Vysakh and scheduled for an August 20 release, and Varanasi, SS Rajamouli's epic drama starring Prithviraj as the antagonist Kumbha opposite Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

I, Nobody releases in theatres on July 9.
