Zee5 unveils psychological thriller poster on Holi ahead of 2026 premiere
The first look of Dalimb, the upcoming psychological thriller headlined by Jitendra Kumar, was unveiled on Holi, signalling a marked tonal shift for the actor best known for his understated comic roles.
The project places Kumar in a darker, more layered space than audiences have come to associate with him through shows such as Kota Factory and Panchayat. According to the makers, the film will explore the instability of memory and truth, and the porous boundaries between love, loss and illusion — themes that position the film squarely within the psychological thriller space.
Streaming platform Zee5 unveiled the first-look poster as part of a Holi campaign, teasing a premiere later in 2026. The project is mounted as a collaboration between Zee5 Hindi and Ellipsis Entertainment, which has previously backed a range of streaming originals and mid-budget features.
In a social media post accompanying the reveal, the makers wrote: “Rangon ke beech ek aisa rahasya jo kabhi dikhta nahin. This Holi, the colour isn’t celebration — it’s a warning. #DALIMB – The myth is watching,” framing the film’s mood as ominous rather than festive.
Kumar, who plays a character named Suraaj, said he was drawn to the material during the initial narration. He described the role as emotionally layered and distinct from his previous work, adding that he expects viewers to respond to the character’s internal graph. The actor also characterised his collaboration with the creative team as smooth and creatively satisfying.
Dalimb is written and directed by Priya Aven, marking her feature directorial debut. Dialogues are credited to Varad Bhatnagar, with additional contributions from Tanuj Garg.
The film also features Priya Bapat, Kshitish Date, Kavin Dave, Sai Prasad, Harish Kulkarni and Sagar Yadav in supporting roles. The makers have yet to announce a specific release date or further plot details.
