Hollywood icon and stand-up comedian Kevin Hart made a hysterical India debut with his ‘Acting My Age’ tour on Sunday, to a sold-out Dome SVP Stadium, in Mumbai. The show saw several familiar faces in attendance, including comedian Samay Raina and cricketer Shreyas Iyer, among others.

The show was opened by Will 'Spank' Horton and Na'im Lynn, two out of the three comics that make up ‘The Plastic Cup Boyz’. The theme for the rest of the night was set from the word go. If it had anything to do with being old, specifically in one's late 40s, it was joked about. From being in a relationship at 40 and being divorced at 45 to having kids and back pain, they covered it all.

Like a well-oiled machine, as soon as the clock struck 8:15 PM, Hart made his way to the stage in what can only be described as an overwhelmingly electric atmosphere. Loved for his roles in films like Jumanji, Central Intelligence, and Get Hard, this was the first time he was performing what the world best knows him for - his stand-up act - in India.

If you’re familiar with his older stand-up specials, you have an idea of what the next hour probably looked like. From finding out that his nephew was gay (to no one’s surprise), roasting Michael Jordan’s fashion sense (he claims this to be the reason that it was a ‘no phones’ event), coming face to face with a silverback gorilla (much to his annoyance) to having his manhood fly off of his body and fall in a bush (you just had to be there), Hart delivered an hour of rib-tickling, eyes-watering, back-hurting comedy.

Reeling in the positive response from the packed audience of nearly 3000, Hart said, "Mumbai… wow, wow, wow. I was really excited about coming to India. This is my first time here and you’ve been exactly what I expected you to be like. Amazing."
