Kriti Sanon Joins Dhanush in Aanand L Rai's 'Tere Ishk Mein', Makers Unveil Her First Look
Filmmaker Aanand L Rai and producer Bhushan Kumar's epic love story will hit the screens on November 28, this year.
Actor Kriti Sanon has joined Dhanush to star in filmmaker Aanand L Rai's love story Tere Ishk Mein. Makers announced the casting of Sanon through a specially cut teaser, introducing her character Mukti.
Billed as an "intense tale of unrequited love", Tere Ishk Mein will mark the reunion of team Raanjhanaa (2013), including Rai, Dhanush and music composer AR Rahman. The film is backed by Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.
The new visual unit features Sanon in an intense part, as she makes her way through a riot, seemingly addressing Dhanush's character about how she does not wish to reciprocate his love. The visuals then showcase Sanon dousing herself with kerosene—set to the tune of a haunting score—and chillingly, calmly, lighting a cigarette.

Tere Ishk Mein, set to go on floors in 2025, is a spiritual successor to the world of Raanjhanaa. According to the makers, the new film will delve "deeper into themes of unrequited love, longing, and emotional conflict."
The film is written by Himanshu Sharma, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Tere Ishk Mein is scheduled to release worldwide in Hindi and Tamil on 28 November 2025.
This is the first film Sanon has announced after a successful 2024 at the box office with films like Crew, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor and her streaming production debut Do Patti.
