Directed by Vignesh Shivan and also starring Krithi Shetty, the film will hit the screens on October 17, during the occasion of Deepavali
The first teaser of Pradeep Ranganathan's next Love Insurance Kompany is out.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan and also starring Krithi Shetty, the film will hit the screens on October 17, during the occasion of Deepavali. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film, and the recent footage of the film also features a song from the composer's dropped project from 10 years ago Aakko — Enakenna Yaarum Illaye — that should delight fans who have been wanting to see the hit track be part of a film sometime.
Love Insurance Kompany also marks the return of director Vignesh Shivan to the big screen after his last film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022), which starred Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nayanthara.
Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara under the banner of Rowdy Pictures and SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio are the producers of the movie. The rest of the cast includes SJ Suryah, actor-politician Seeman, Gouri G, Kishan, Yogi Babu and Shah Rah.
In LIK, set in a futuristic world, Pradeep Ranganathan plays a youngster who still believes in love at first sight even though the norms around him have changed. When he falls in love with Kirthi Shetty's character, their relationship faces threat from a company run by SJ Suryah's character, who seems determined to oust the concept of pure love from the planet.
Meanwhile, Dude, Pradeep's film with Malayalam star Mamitha Baiju, is also headed for a Diwali release in October. Directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude will co-star Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Niketh Bommi, and Rohini Molleti in significant roles. The makers made the release announcement along with two posters from the film featuring the lead actors. Dude has music by internet sensation Sai Abhyankkar.
Ranganathan is fresh from the success of Dragon, a campus comedy directed by Oh! My Kadavule (2020) fame Ashwath Marimuthu. The popular entertainer told the story of a college slacker who is forced to retake his arrears despite getting placed in a swanky job. The comedy drama co-starred Anupama Parameswaran, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and George Maryan, among others.
