Manikandan, who was last seen in Kudumbasthan last year, has been seen in several acclaimed Tamil films including Jai Bhim and Lover. Pa Ranjith, on the other hand, who last directed Thangalaan, is looking forward to the release of Vettuvam.
Pa. Ranjith's upcoming Tamil film is described as a sci-fi post-apocalyptic story set across multiple timelines. The film stars Arya in the lead and also features Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, Mime Gopi and Guru Somasundaram in key roles.
Speaking about Vettuvam, the filmmaker had earlier said the project was nearing completion, and was being planned for release after August this year. "The film has turned out really well,” Ranjith was quoted as saying. “I have built a new world in this film, and I hope the audience will like it. The film is packed with action and adventure. I have made this film as a blend of action and sci-fi, and I have high hopes that it will connect with the audience. We are planning to give viewers a completely new experience.”
