Ravi Teja in 'Mass Jathara'

Ravi Teja is a people's hero in the supercharged trailer of his 75th film, Mass Jathara. A commercial action entertainer, the film is written and directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu in his debut directorial. It also stars Sreeleela, Rajendra Prasad, Naveen Chandra and Naresh.

In Mass Jathara, Ravi Teja dons the uniform of a doughty and charismatic Railway Police Officer. The film turns on a major drug bust that puts him in the crosshairs of a crime syndicate. Telugu and Tamil actor Naveen Chandra essays the film’s chief antagonist, a venomous crime boss with an affinity for snakes.

Blending action, romance and humour, Mass Jathara is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 31. Music for the film is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna and editing by Navin Nooli. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and is presented by Srikara Studios.

Bhanu Bhogavarapu had earlier worked as a screenwriter on films like Gully Rowdy (2021), Vivaha Bhojanambu (2021) and Geethanjali Malli Vachindi (2024).

"Welcoming you all to the world of #MassJathara See you all in theatres from October 31st with premieres (sic)," Teja wrote on social media, sharing the film's trailer.

After Mass Jathara, Teja will be seen in an untitled Telugu film by director Tirumala Kishore, who has helmed titles such as Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna's Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu (2022) and Ram Pothineni's Red (2021). The upcoming film will be produced by SLV Cinemas. Ashika Ranganath and Ketika Sharma are said to co-star in the project.

Teja had earlier shared the film's poster on social media. Booked for the 2026 Sankranthi release window, it showed Teja sitting in a swanky private plane, with a bottle of wine in one hand and a Spanish tutorial book in the other.
