Teja Sajja is back to lead an epic mythological drama. And in Mirai, he is on a mission to save all the sacred scriptures from Manoj Manchu's evil grasp. "If the nine scriptures get into his grasp, the Holy Ganga will turn red," Sajja's character is told in the recently launched trailer of the upcoming film.

But he has some help. Aid comes in the form of an age-old weapon used in the time of Lord Ram: the 'mirai'. "The world that never saw me believed in me. My mother, who was never with me, believed in me. Now, I must believe in myself," Sajja says in the trailer, when he's forced to come to terms with his destiny. "Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Emotion, Devotion packed for you all Here’s the Trailer of #Mirai Hope you all Like it," Sajja's caption read on X.

The film also co-stars Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendranath Zutshi, Pawan Chopra, and Tanja Keller, among others, and is directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Karthik Gattamneni (his credits include Ravi Teja's Eagle). Mirai is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, and was initially expected to be released on September 5. But the trailer launch clarified that Mirai will be out on September 12.

Sajja was last seen in Prasanth Varma's Hanu-Man (2024), a Telugu superhero film co-starring Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai and Samuthirakani. The film followed the life of Hanumanthu, who saves the people of his village with powers transferred by Lord Hanuman.

Mirai, which is co-written by Karthik Gattamneni and Manibabu Karanam and edited by Sreekar Prasad, will be backed and released in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam by prestigious production companies. The film will be released by Hombale Films in Kannada, AGS in Tamil, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in Hindi, and Sree Gokulam Movies in Malayalam.
