Mohanlal’s Next To Be Directed by 'Meppadiyan' Director Vishnu Mohan
Titled L357 for now, the movie is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan for Sree Gokulam Movies
Mohanlal's 367th film has now been announced. Titled L367 for now, the poster shows a top-angle shot of a car travelling on the wrong side of the road as a big traffic block prevents any car from moving on the opposite side. The film is being directed by Vishnu Mohan, who had directed Unni Mukundan’s hit drama Meppadiyan. On Republic Day, the actor took to X to post a poster of the new film, along with a note which reads, “With immense joy, I announce my next project, #L367. I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Looking forward to this new chapter and seeking all your love, blessings, and good wishes as we begin this beautiful journey together.” (SIC)
On the same day, the actor had also shared a release date announcement poster of his upcoming multi-starrer, Patriot. His film with Tharun Moorthy, L366, was also just announced. The film, in which he is said to be playing a cop after a long gap, is being produced by Ashiq Usman. His look for the film, which features the actor without a beard after a long gap, had already gone viral when he posted a picture.
It was after several deliberations and changes that it was clarified that Tharun Moorthy, who directed last year’s blockbuster action movie Thudarum, would helm L366. It was originally meant to be directed by first-time director Austin Das Thomas. The initial poster even featured a police officer's uniform hanging on one side. The film’s director, Tharun Moorthy, posted a photo of X of the film’s script book confirming the film. A photo of the film’s team at the Vaikom Temple was also released. The film is expected to go on the floors soon, with reports of Binu Pappu too joining the film as a co-director.
