Natural Star Nani, who has been on a dream run at the box office, is gearing up for what could be the most ambitious film of his career. Tentatively titled #Nani34, the project was launched in Hyderabad this week with a traditional ceremony that drew some of Telugu cinema’s biggest names.

The launch coincided with Dussehra, adding to the festive mood. Actor Venkatesh lent star power to the occasion by giving the inaugural clap, while Nani’s father, Rambabu Ghanta, switched on the camera. Nani and producer Venkat Boyanapalli formally handed the script to director Sujeeth, marking the start of the collaboration. In a rare gesture, directors Rahul Sankrityan, Srikanth Odela, and Shouryuv came together to direct the very first shot, setting a tone of camaraderie and goodwill for the project.

The project is backed by Boyanapalli’s Niharika Entertainment in collaboration with Nani’s Unanimous Productions. It is being mounted on what insiders say is the biggest budget of Nani’s career so far, setting high expectations for scale and spectacle.

For Nani, known for seamlessly moving between intimate dramas and crowd-pleasing entertainers, #Nani34 could be a career-defining pivot. Sujeeth, fresh from the massive success of Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, is expected to bring his flair for stylised action. Producer Venkat Boyanapalli has described the film as a “prestige project,” promising world-class production values and an experience designed for the big screen.

Sujeeth's OG, which co-starred Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and Emraan Hashmi, has raked in ₹ 169 crore at the Indian box office since its September 25 release. It was recently announced that plans for a prequel and sequel to the film will soon be in the works. "I know how frustrating it can be when a film fails, but 'OG' has given me the motivation to do films again," Pawan Kalyan was recently quoted as saying.
