Nayanthara Thanks Shah Rukh Khan, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan for Granting Her NOC 'without hesitation'
The actor's statement comes days after her scathing open letter to Dhanush for refusing to grant her NOC for her Netflix documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale'
Actor Nayanthara has put out a list of over 30 producers, including heavyweights like Shah Rukh Khan, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and K Balachander among others, for granting her No Objection Certificates (NOCs) "without hesitation or delay" for her latest Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.
The actor released a statement, in which filmmakers from across the film industries — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam — were thanked for helping her use footage of the movies featuring her. Nayanthara said since the films she has worked on hold "immense significance" in her life, she wished to include some of those "memories and scenes" in her documentary and the producers stepped in to ease the process.
"When I approached the following producers to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs), they granted them without hesitation or delay. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of them," she said in a statement, as she listed Shah Rukh Khan and his producer-wife Gauri Khan as the two people from Bollywood who helped her with the NOC. Nayanthara made her Hindi film debut last year with Jawan.
Other names she mentioned from the entertainment industry included Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, K Balachander, Subaskaran Allirajah, Udhayanidhi Stalin, AR Murugadoss, Ramkumar Ganesan, and NB Vindhyan among others.
"Thank you for sharing a slice of my most treasured professional moments. Your unwavering support during moments like these deeply moves me. I will always cherish this kindness with immense gratitude. May our journey together continue, always, finding happiness in other people's happiness," she added.
The fresh statement comes days after Nayanthara had lashed out at Tamil star Dhanush, calling the actor "vengeful and vile" for refusing an NOC to use audio-video from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Nayanthara had claimed that Dhanush — who had produced the film — also sent her a legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix doc, questioning the usage of a three-second clip.
