'OG 2' Confirmed: Pawan Kalyan To Back Sequel Of Sujeeth’s Hit Film

After much speculation, the much-awaited sequel to Pawan Kalyan’s hit film OG has been confirmed and is expected to start rolling later this year. It was written and directed by Sujeeth and he also be helming the second part of the franchise.

Months ago, Sujeeth had posted on X, hinting at a possible sequel for the hit film. The sequel was confirmed by the X handle of Pawan Kalyan Creative Works with the post, “As promised, he will. The timing, he will let us know. Once @Sujeethsign returns from abroad, we will discuss.” The first part was produced by D. V. V. Danayya and Kalyan Dasari. 

A press release, put out by Pawan Kalyan Creative Works reads, “The combination of Pawan Kalyan’s commanding screen presence, Sujeeth’s visionary direction, and Thaman’s explosive music, went on to create a blockbuster audiences embraced wholeheartedly. With talks having begun for OG 2, fans can confidently look forward to another grand chapter in the OG universe.”

The first film traced the journey of the now-iconic Pawan Kalyan character named Ojas Ghambeera and was set predominantly in the underworld of Mumbai. Shot by Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahasma, the film also went on to become the highest grossing Telugu film of 2025. The film also hinted with a tease of a continuation of the film which would feature portions that are both set in the future, apart from portions from an earlier time in OG’s life. Emran Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj and Sriya Reddy made up the rest of the film’s star cast. Pawan Kalyan’s last release was this year’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which opened to mixed reviews. 

Pawan Kalyan had also announced a new film, confirming a long-delayed collaboration with director Surrender Reddy. The project, backed by producer Ram Talluri under the banner Jaithra Rama Movies, marks Talluri’s debut as a producer. The banner name, according to reports, was suggested by Pawan Kalyan himself.
