'PARAAK' Teaser: A Gruff and Rugged Sriimurali Revealed in This Blood-Soaked Action Thriller

The makers of PARAAK, the Kannada action-suspense thriller, released the film's teaser on July 13. The film stars Sriimurali and is written and directed by Halesh Kogundi. While no release date has been announced yet, the film is set for a pan-India release.

The teaser opens with armed men arriving at Sriimurali's character's door, one of them bringing in a kidnapped individual. The teaser does not reveal the identities of any of the parties involved or the circumstances surrounding the confrontation, keeping plot details largely undisclosed. One of the armed men breaks down the door, which is followed by a bloody and intense fight scene, with Sriimurali emerging in a long haired, rugged appearance.

Sriimurali was most recently seen in the Kannada action drama, Bagheera (2024), written and directed by D.R. Suri and produced under the Hombale Films banner. His previous projects include Madhagaja (2021), Bharaate (2019), and Mufti (2017), Rathaavara (2015), and Ugramm (2014). One of the actor's upcoming projects, Ugraayudham, is currently on floors, though no release date has been announced. The film is said to be a period saga directed by Puneeth Rudranag and produced by Jayaram Devasamudra. With story by Rudranag, the film's screenplay is written by Rudranag along with Manju Atharva, who is credited for the film's dialogues.

PARAAK marks Halesh Kogundi's directorial debut and his first collaboration with Sriimurali.
