On Diwali day, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming period political drama, Parasakthi, put out a short glimpse video announcing that the team had completed shooting for the film. The video also shows a shot of the film’s three lead actors Atharvaa Murali, Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan walking in slow motion, towards the camera.

They all appear to be in vintage attire and the intensity signals a film with raw emotions. Ravi Mohan is also said to be playing the villain in this film and he can be seen wearing a jacket and sunglasses, while the other appear in simpler clothes. The glimpse also ended with the film re-iterating its January 14th release, coinciding with Pongal and Sankranthi. The other lead actor of the film is Sreeleela

We had earlier reported that this film would be clashing with the release of Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan for Pongal. Jana Nayagan is expected to be Vijay's final film before he takes a plunge into politics. What makes this clash even more interesting is how Parasakthi is being distributed by Red Giant Films, which is being run by Tamil Nadu CM’s grandson Inbanithi Stalin. He is also the son of Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin. Both of these films are also highly political in nature, making the clash a trailer for the political clash that is set to happen for Assembly Elections in the near future. Co-incidentally Parasakthi is the name of classic political Tamil movie starring Sivaji Ganesan which DMK icon K Karunanidhi wrote.

The poster of Kongara's period film shows the smoke from a bomb merging with that of a steam-engined train. Sivakarthikeyan holds this bomb in his right arm, and he appears to be aiming, right before throwing it.
