Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha Announce Pregnancy: 'Our Little Universe On Its Way'

Actor Parineeti Chopra and her husband, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, are set to embrace parenthood. The couple took to Instagram to share the news of expecting their first child, in a post that instantly won hearts across the internet.

On Monday (August 25), the couple announced their pregnancy with a sweet post. The picture showed a cake decorated with golden baby footprints and the words “1 + 1 = 3”, while a short video captured the two of them walking hand-in-hand through a park, backs facing the camera, in a quiet and wholesome moment. “Our little universe … on its way. Blessed beyond measure,” the couple wrote in the caption.

As soon as the post went live, the comments section was flooded with love and congratulations from fans, friends and colleagues. Sonam Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations darling,” while Bhumi Pednekar also extended her wishes with a “Congratulations.” Katrina Kaif joined in too, dropping a string of red heart emojis.

The news comes not long after the couple playfully hinted at their plans to expand their family during their joint appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Parineeti and Raghav tied the knot on September 24, 2023, at Udaipur’s Leela Palace, in a ceremony that brought together prominent names from both Bollywood and politics. Since then, Parineeti has often been spotted cheering for her husband’s political endeavours, while balancing her own film career.

On the work front, the actor was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, which earned critical acclaim for its storytelling. The biographical drama portrayed the tragic yet triumphant story of Punjabi folk singer Chamkila and his wife and singing partner Amarjot. Parineeti’s performance in the film was praised for its depth and authenticity. The actor has recently wrapped up shooting for an upcoming OTT project.
