Prime Video executives Nicole Morganti and Tara Erer highlight India as a key market, confirming an upcoming cross border project with Spain.
India’s streaming scene is increasingly drawing global attention, with Prime Video executives pointing to the country’s growing influence on international storytelling. Nicole Morganti, Head of Local Originals Southern Europe, and Tara Erer, Head of UK & Northern Europe Originals, spoke about India’s significance as both a market and a creative hub.
“India is a huge market, and we always look up to it,” Morganti said in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter India. “They are doing some of the best work in scripted series and films. The recent success of The Traitors was amazing, and we really congratulate Nikhil (Madhok) and his team. It’s impressive how they have reached even younger audiences.”
Indian originals like Made in Heaven and The Family Man have stood out for their strong storytelling and global resonance. “One of my favorite Prime Video shows is actually from India: Made in Heaven,” Erer added.
Morganti also shared news of an upcoming cross-border project. “We already have a collaboration in place between Spain and India,” she said. While details are still under wraps, the move reflects Prime Video’s strategy of connecting stories with universal appeal.
