Salman Khan will return to the silver screen this month with Sikandar, an action-packed drama directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The film is set for a theatrical release on March 30, 2025, timed to coincide with the festive celebrations of Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi, in line with Khan’s longstanding tradition of holiday releases.

The announcement was made on social media, accompanied by a new poster featuring Khan in the titular role. The caption read: “Celebrating festivals of India with Sikandar! Iss baar celebration hoga triple! We’re coming on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid! #Sikandar releases worldwide in theatres near you on 30th March 2025. See you at the movies.”
The film marks yet another collaboration between Khan and Nadiadwala, a partnership that has historically yielded major commercial successes, including Kick (2014). Adding to the anticipation is director A.R. Murugadoss, best known for his work on Ghajini (2008) which successfully blended high-octane action with emotionally resonant storytelling.
Rashmika Mandanna, one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry, co-stars opposite Khan, fresh off two back-to-back superhits: Pushpa 2: The Rule and Chhaava. The other cast members include Sathyaraj and Kajal Aggarwal.
Khan’s association with Eid releases dates back to the early 2010s, when his films began dominating the festival box office with remarkable consistency.
The timing of Sikandar’s release is particularly significant. Gudi Padwa and Ugadi mark the beginning of a new year for Maharashtrian and South Indian communities, respectively, while Eid ensures a wide-ranging festive audience. With no major films releasing in the North, Sikandar can enjoy a long run at the box-office without a clash.
