Samantha Ruth Prabhu's production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, has announced that its upcoming production, Maa Inti Bangaaram, starring the actress-producer, will now be released on June 19, 2026, moving from its previously announced May 15 date.

"The decision was made to avoid a clash with the IPL season, and to give audiences across the Telugu states the opportunity to fully support the Sunrisers Hyderabad during their campaign," read a press note.

Maa Inti Bangaaram is a family action drama directed by Nandini Reddy, produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Raj Nidimoru, and Himank Duvvuru. The film features Diganth and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles alongside a supporting cast of Sree Mukhi, Gautami, Anand, Lakshmi, Srinivas Gavireddy, and Manjusha.

The film's teaser hinted at a protagonist who is both a "girl next door" and a formidable force to be reckoned with. While the footage showcased intense, high-scale action sequences, it remained rooted in family dynamics, suggesting a balance between a gritty thriller and a heartfelt family drama.

Maa Inti Bangaaram tells the story of a woman whose strength comes as much from her vulnerability as from her courage,” Samantha said in a statement. “Playing this character and nurturing this film as a producer has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for me… I’m truly excited for audiences to experience this story and connect with its spirit.”

The film is a significant creative reunion for Samantha and Nandini Reddy, who previously struck gold with the 2019 hit Oh! Baby. Known for her emotionally intuitive storytelling and her ability to craft nuanced, strong female protagonists, Reddy appears to be pushing the envelope further with Maa Inti Bangaaram (translated as "The Gold of Our House"). The film is set against a raw, grounded backdrop, framing its protagonist as a fierce protector within a narrative that is as quirky as it is personal.
