After holding a titular role in Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, which premiered at TIFF this year, and making a special appearance in Nani's The Paradise, Keerthy Suresh enters a fresh setting, leading the courtroom drama Sathyavan Savithiri alongside filmmaker-actor Mysskin.

Directed by Praveen S. Vijay, the film's makers dropped its official teaser on October 14, which shows Suresh leading the film as a spirited lawyer torn between a high-stakes case and her emotional struggles. Sathyavan Savithiri also stars Charukesh, Bala Saravanan, and Shilpa Manjunath.

The teaser begins with Savithri (Suresh), asking the judge in a courtroom setting: "In case you're bribed 10 lakhs to pass a verdict in one's favour, which place would you choose to collect the bribe?"

Mysskin plays Markandeyan, a senior lawyer who opposes Savithri in court. The teaser offers glimpses of tension between the two lawyers, and a entirely different world outside of it — romance, marriage and relationships — that Savithri attempts to balance all at once.

The film was originally slated for a July 24 release, but was postponed to avoid clash with CM Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which locked a July 23 release. Sathyavan Savithiri is now set to release in theatres on November 20.

The film is also written by Vijay and produced by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel and co-producers S Vaishnavi Vivekchandar and Vinoth CJ under the banners of Drumsticks Productions and Zee Studios. The courtroom-drama will feature music by composer Sam CS, with cinematographer Arul Vincent and editor GK Prasanna also leading the team.

Keerthy Suresh was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, alongside Rishikanth and Sananth, and last year's Revolver Rita. Mysskin, on the other hand, was last seen in Malayalam film I'm Game.
