Addressing fans at an event in Chennai on Sunday, Sivakarthikeyan announced that he intends to focus exclusively on mass commercial entertainers going forward.

Speaking about his two ongoing projects, Sivakarthikeyan added that both films are expected to deliver to the audience's expectations. "Whatever you expect, both films will deliver that. This is not my promise. It comes from my two brothers, Sivakumar Murugesan and Ramkumar's (Balakrishnan) guarantee. They asked me to tell you guys. So, I'm telling you all,"he said.
The actor also revealed that nearly 60 per cent of the Seyon shoot has been completed. He noted that the film's songs, along with several other portions of the film, have been completed, with a couple of important action sequences remaining.
Tentatively titled SK27, Sivakarthikeyan's first collaboration with Ramkumar Balakrishnan was officially launched on September 25 with a pooja ceremony. The film stars Kayadu Lohar beside Sivakarthikeyan in a leading role and is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyoti Films banner. Ramkumar Balakrishnan's debut directorial Parking (2023) won the National Film Award for Best Tamil Film at the 71st National Film Awards.
The actor shared updates about the film's shoot, which is currently in the early stage of its first schedule. "The first schedule of Ramkumar's film has begun. We have shot an opening fight sequence. We're shooting an opening song and I just came here after completing the shoot till 6 am."
Seyon is Sivakarthikeyan's 26th film and his second collaboration with Raaj Kamal Films International, Kamal Haasan's production banner, after Amaran (2024). The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.
Other cast members include Bala Saravanan, Aruldoss, Raichal Rabecca and Singampuli. R. Mahendran is also producing the film, under his banner Turmeric Media. The film's technical team includes Vivek Vijayakumar as director of photography, San Lokesh as editor, and Supreme Sundar as stunt coordinator. Music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
