The first look of Mahesh Babu's tentatively titled 'Globe Trotter' will be revealed in November.
On Saturday, August 9, director SS Rajamouli revealed a glimpse of Mahesh Babu’s look from their upcoming movie, tentatively titled SSMB29, along with an announcement that the "first reveal" from the film will be out in November. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Mahesh Babu wrote, “Thank you for all the love I am eagerly awaiting, as you all are, for November 2025 to enjoy the reveal with all of you.” The hashtag "#Globetrotter” was featured on the poster, although it has not been confirmed if that is the title of the film.
SS Rajamouli wrote, “Dear Cinema Lovers in India and around the world, as well as fans of Mahesh, it has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film. However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice. We are currently working on something to showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating. This will be unveiled in November 2025, and we are trying to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN reveal. Thank you all for your patience.”
The poster shows the blood-stained chest of Mahesh Babu with a rudraksh, trishool and a Nandi pendant. This is also the first official image revealed from the film. It was reported that the Hyderabad leg of the film’s shoot had restarted this August. Last week, a report in India Today noted that Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined the sets of the SS Rajamouli film in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu is part of this shoot, and after this schedule, the film’s crew is expected to move to South Africa for the film’s next leg. The same report quoted sources revealing that the next leg in South Africa is said to begin in the second week of September and that the Hyderabad schedule is to shoot portions set indoors. Prithviraj Sukumaran was part of an earlier schedule.
The film, said to be made with a budget of ₹1000 crore, is also Priyanka Chopra’s first Indian film since the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink. She was last seen in the action comedy Heads Of State, co-starring John Cena.
