‘STR 49’: Sai Abhyankkar Turns Music Composer for Silambarasan's Next
Sai Abhyankkar, the son of singers Tippu and Harini, found global fame with his independent music videos that made him an overnight celebrity.
Singer and musician Sai Abhyankkar, known for his viral singles ‘Katchi Sera’ and ‘Aasa Kooda’, has now come on board Silambarasan TR's next project, tentatively titled STR 49, as the music composer.
Though Sai hasn't had a film release yet, the 20-year-old has a line-up of highly-anticipated projects in the pipeline, such as Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s Benz, Suriya - RJ Balaji’s Suriya 45 and Pradeep Ranganathan’s PR 04. He is also in talks to join Allu Arjun and Atlee’s AA22xA6.

Meanwhile, STR 49 sees Silambarasan team up with filmmaker Ramkumar Balakrishnan, known for directing Parking (2023), that starred Harish Kalyan and M.S. Bhaskar. The actor will also be seen in Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, and he also has projects with directors Desingh Periyasamy and Ashwath Marimuthu in the works. Simbu's last theatrical release was Pathu Thala in 2023.
