Telugu Actress Swathi Reddy Gets Married To 'Month Of Madhu' Director Srikanth Nagothi

Telugu actress Swathi Reddy got married to filmmaker Srikanth Nagothi in a private and intimate ceremony on July 8. The duo announced the news on Instagram with a few pictures from the occasion.

Swathi and Nagothi last collaborated together on 2023 Telugu film Month Of Madhu. The romantic drama co-starring Reddy and Naveen Chandra, was directed by Nagothi. Directed by Srikanth Nagothi, the relationship drama follows an estranged couple navigating the emotional aftermath of a failing marriage while an unexpected new relationship alters the course of their lives. 

Swathi Reddy, popularly known as "Colours Swathi" after her stint as a television host, has been a familiar face in Telugu cinema for nearly two decades. She is known for acclaimed performances in films such as Ashta Chamma (2008), Tamil film Subramaniapuram (2008), Swamy Ra Ra (2013) and Karthikeya (2014). Month of Madhu marked her return to Telugu cinema after a break and eventually became the project that brought her and Nagothi together.

In an earlier interview with Film Companion, Reddy spoke about the creative fulfilment of working on a project like Month of Madhu. "People are writing me messages and are referring me as Lekha, my character’s name in the film. One lovely message I remember is ‘Lekha, don’t feel bad, I’ll take you to a treat.’ I’d be lying if I say it’s not gratifying...I see a lot of messages from women, saying that the film helped them. And these are simple, everyday women I’m talking about. The women who prepare avakai every summer, the women who make appadalu (paapad) and serve rasam in their homes for their family... To know that the film reached them is very fulfilling.”
