The trailer of Thammudu, Nithiin's upcoming Telugu film, was launched on Wednesday. The emotional action drama co-stars Nithiin and Laya as siblings who are enveloped in a series of deceit, chaos and conflict in their native village.
The film's trailer begins with a promise that an elder sister fails to keep - one that her brother (Nithiin) promises to fulfil. The Telugu actor plays an expert archer in the film, who is also seen helping his niece as they go on an adventure to fight against injustices, meted out by the primary antagonist (Saurabh Sachdeva). "The world doesn't understand when you say things with love, but violence on the other hand..." Sachdeva's character is heard saying in the video.
Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film's music is composed by Kantara fame Ajaneesh Loknath, with cinematography by KV Guhan and editing by Prawin Pudi. The film is headed for a July 4 release. Directed by Sriram Venu, the film also stars Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, and Chammak Chandra.
Nithiin was last seen in Venky Kudumula's Robinhood (2025), alongside Sreeleela, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, and Shine Tom Chacko. The heist drama, which also marked the Telugu film debut of Australian cricketer David Warner, failed to make an impression at the box office.
