Ajith Kumar is racing, but for now, against time. The teaser of Thala's upcoming Vidaamuyarchi was dropped late Thursday evening, showcasing the intriguing set-pieces of the drama-thriller. Headlined by Ajith and also starring Trisha Krishnan, the film is billed as a road thriller, and also stars Arjun Sarja, Arav and Regina Cassandra.
Written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, the under-two-minute teaser features no dialogues and is instead set to the atmospheric score of music composer Anirudh Ravichander, elevating the visuals, including a striking first glimpse of Ajith as the boot space of a car opens slowly.
According to reports, Vidaamuyarchi follows the journey of a married couple, whose trip takes a disturbing turn when the wife goes missing, prompting the husband's frantic search.
The teaser sets the tempo of the film, as it introduces the couple, the villains, the haunting locations of Azerbaijan and a few glimpses of some of the action sequences in it: including Ajith trying to balance himself while an SUV goes berserk.
Ajith is going to have an eventful start to 2025 as Vidaamuyarchi has locked a grand January release during Pongal. Apart from the film, he will also return to motorsports and endurance racing with Ajith Kumar Racing next year; he is the team owner and principal driver, and recently revealed his new race car for the upcoming adventure. The 53-year-old will participate in the 24h Dubai 2025 and the European 24H Series Championship in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup class, along with teammates Fabian Duffieux, Mathieu Detry and Cam McLeod.
On the film front, the actor is currently shooting for Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
