On Monday, actor Vikrant Massey shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, where he revealed that his last screen appearance would be in 2025.

In his message, Massey reflected on his journey, which spanned television, film, and streaming, and expressed gratitude for the support he's received throughout his career. He explained that it was time for him to step back from acting to "recalibrate" and focus on his personal life.

Massey, who recently starred in The Sabarmati Report, wrote that the past few years have been "magical" but that it was now time to return to his roots as a "husband, father, and son." He also thanked his fans for their "indelible support" and announced that his final two films — set for release in 2025 — would mark the end of his acting career. Just last year, Vikrant starred in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's acclaimed blockbuster 12th Fail which got him wider acclaim.

"The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal," he wrote. "But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home, as a husband, father, son, and also as an actor. So, in 2025, we will meet each other for one last time. Until the time deems right. Two final films and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted."

Vikrant made his acting debut in 2007 with the Disney sitcom Dhoom Machao Dhoom. He became a household name two years later with his role in the popular daily soap Balika Vadhu. He transitioned to films with Lootera (2013), starring alongside Ranveer Singh, and went on to earn critical acclaim for his performances in films such as A Death in the Gunj (2016), Haseen Dillruba (2021), and the hit series Mirzapur.
