What to Watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime and More This Week: From 'Operation Safed Sagar' To 'Vadhandhi' Season 2

This week's streaming slate is packed with action, grit and laughs. Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill and Dia Mirza star in the upcoming series Operation Safed Sagar retelling the story of the Indian Air Force's sacrifices in the 1999 Kargil War. The Tamil-language suspense thriller, Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie, returns with its second season. Popular television series football coach, Ted Lasso, is back in a surprise season four, this time coaching a second-division women's football team. Here's what to watch on streaming this week:

Directed by Oni Sen and created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, this series adapts the story of the Indian Air Force's role in the 1999 Kargil War, focusing on the Golden Arrows squadron's high-altitude missions. The series, starring Siddharth alongside Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin and Amrita Bagchi, debuts on Netflix on August 7.

Jason Sudeikis returns as Ted Lasso three years after the show's supposed series finale. The new season follows Ted back in Richmond, coaching a second-division women's football team. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift reprise their roles, joined by newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely. The ten-episode season debuts with the first episode on Apple TV+ on August 5, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday.

The second season of the suspense thriller franchise returns four years after its first instalment, created, written and directed by Andrew Louis. M. Sasikumar reprises his role as Sub-Inspector Moosa Raza, a lawman whose search for answers puts him at odds with political pressure, press scrutiny and his own weaknesses. This season's cast also includes Vivek Prasanna, Yashwanth, Hareesh Peradi, S.J. Suryah, and Sanjana. The new season comes to Amazon Prime Video on August 7.
