Kattalan

Starring Antony Varghese and Dushara Vijayan, and directed by Paul George, this highly anticipated action thriller follows an ivory cartel war and a timeless conflict between power and survival.

Blast

Set to release this Thursday, Blast is directed by Subhash K. Raj and features Arjun Sarja, Abhirami, and Preity Mukhundhan as the lead actors. The action-thriller follows how a middle-class family skilled at martial arts navigates a complex interplay of conflict, danger, and emotion after coming face-to-face with a merciless gang.

A movie that speaks on a timeless topic, Drop Out stars Uday P Singh as Pankaj, a young man grappling with the pressures of societal expectations and the pursuit of his dreams. During this journey, he struggles with his identity, self-doubts, and the fear of failure, largely reflecting what today’s youth face.

The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman

Directed by Manish Saini and starring actors Jackie Shroff, Shivansh Chorge, and Prateik Babbar, this sci-fi follows a grandfather with mysterious powers, and the utter disbelief of his grandson, who has just realised them.  

Shape of Momo

Directed by Sikkimese filmmaker Tribeny Rai, Shape of Momo casts the late Bhanu Maya Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Pashupati Rai, Rahul Mukhia, and Shyama Shree Sherpa. It follows the journey of Bishnu, who leaves Delhi to return to her ancestral home in a Himalayan village in Sikkim, navigating through the everyday complexities of the place she calls home, family expectations, independence, and grief.

Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry

Directed by Kartik Chaudhry, Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry follows two women on two different missions as they embark on a motorcycle journey to Pondicherry. While one longs to find her lost mother, the other seeks to uncover the secrets of a wedding. Through this, the movie speaks on the themes of friendship, sisterhood, and societal expectations. The film co-stars Bunty Chopra, Maanvi Gagroo and Patralekhaa Paul.

Starring Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette, Obsession is a psychological horror and romance that revolves around Bear, a hopeless romantic played by Michael Johnston, who hopes his close friend Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette, will fall in love with him after he wishes upon a mysterious charm he buys.

Backrooms

This horror sci-fi, starring actors Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass, follows a therapist who ventures into the deep and unknown after her patient disappears into a different dimension.  

Tuner

Tuner, starring Leo Woodall, Dustin Hoffman, and Havana Rose Liu, is a crime drama that follows Niki, played by Woodall, who is a piano prodigy from New York City. Niki, who has a unique ability to tune pianos, also develops hyperacusis, which makes him hyper sensitive to sound and also leads him to uncover an unexpected ability to crack safes.

Pressure

Anthony Maras’ historical war drama, starring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, and Kerry Condon, is a suspense-filled story of General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg and the events that unfold as they debate launching a high-risk seaborne invasion or losing the war–just 72 hours before D-Day.
