Bvlgari, the magnificent Roman High Jeweler, has opened its first boutique in Kolkata at Quest Mall. Spanning 115 sqm, the new boutique marks another significant milestone in the Maison’s journey in India, bringing Bvlgari’s iconic universe of jewellery, watches, accessories and luxury leather goods to a city celebrated for its enduring relationship with art, craftsmanship and culture.

Located on the Ground Floor of Quest Mall, the boutique unfolds as an immersive celebration of contemporary Rome, where Italian craftsmanship meets Kolkata’s rich artistic and architectural spirit. Inspired by Bvlgari’s historic flagship on Via Condotti, space pays tribute to the Maison’s Roman heritage through timeless design codes, precious materials and an atmosphere that blends elegance with hospitality. Travertino portals frame the entrance in homage to Rome’s enduring architecture, while the iconic imperial green pelmet, featuring the Bvlgari logo in Roman capitals, reflects one of the Maison’s most recognisable design codes and the enduring influence of ancient Rome

Inside, the boutique is anchored by sculptural Travertino and onyx marble counters inspired by the vision of Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, complemented by fluted walls that reinterpret the grandeur of ancient Roman columns in a contemporary language. A striking Serpenti chandelier by Venini, handcrafted in Murano glass and composed of approximately 300 crystal wands, celebrates one of Bvlgari’s most enduring icons, while curved showcases evoke the warm glow of a Roman sunset. Artwork by Andy Warhol punctuates the interior with a vibrant cultural accent, highlighting the artist’s celebrated connection with Bvlgari and his view of the Maison’s jewelry as a form of contemporary art.

The boutique also introduces a bespoke artistic installation celebrating the dialogue between Rome and the cultural heart of Kolkata. A handcrafted composition brings together maps of the two cities, connected by a graceful Serpenti form that winds between their urban landscapes, symbolizing the dialogue between their histories and cultures. Rising from the Kolkata side is the Victoria Memorial, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and a symbol of its enduring role as a centre of art, culture and intellectual life. Hand-painted and embellished with three-dimensional motifs and gold leaf by Milan-based artisans Pictalab, the installation reflects Bvlgari’s ability to bring together classical heritage, contemporary creativity and exceptional craftsmanship.

Curated events and cultural touchpoints will further connect the boutique with the life of the city, creating a destination where Bvlgari’s Roman identity can engage with Kolkata’s rich creative spirit. Following its presence in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, Kolkata becomes Bvlgari’s fourth destination in India.
