Don't Trouble The Trouble Movie Review | Kairam Vaashi | THR India

Kairam Vaashi reviews Don't Trouble the Trouble, the Telugu fantasy-comedy-drama directed by Shashank Yeleti and starring Fahadh Faasil and Ssara Palekar. Fahadh plays Suri, a quick-money-chasing ambulance driver who sees a route to his Dubai dream in Divya, a young aspiring magician searching for her missing parents. She believes he can help her reunite with them, setting up an unlikely adventure with her dog, Snoopy, in tow.

Kairam finds the film earnest and harmless, but weighed down by predictable character arcs, uninventive writing and sluggish pacing. He discusses Fahadh's uneven early performance and Telugu dubbing, Ssara's earnest portrayal, the humour's mixed success and Kaala Bhairava's lively score. While the twist leading into the climax and the emotional closure hold his attention, this is a film he feels children may enjoy more than adults.

The THR Bottomline: Don't Trouble the Trouble practically tells us, "Don't Expect the Unexpected." It's an easy, harmless, trouble-free watch—provided you are in the right frame of mind for it.
