Anupama Chopra reviews Drishyam: The Conclusion, directed by Abhishek Pathak and starring Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat. Departing substantially from Jeethu Joseph's Malayalam film Drishyam 3, Abhishek and writers Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh devise a new third act for Vijay Salgaonkar's battle to protect his family. This time, Vijay faces the menacing IG Rajveer Tomar and ace lawyer Indrajith Shetty, alongside Meera and Mahesh Deshmukh's continuing pursuit of justice.

Anupama finds this Hindi reworking better than the original, praising the tension, Sandeep Francis's sharp editing and the face-off between Ajay's inscrutable Vijay and Jaideep's towering Tomar. She also discusses Ravi Basrur's nerve-rattling score, Kamlesh Sawant's return as sub-inspector Gaitonde and the franchise's enduring fascination with an ordinary man who becomes a mastermind to keep his family safe. The plotting may reveal holes under scrutiny, but the film keeps her convinced while it lasts.

The THR Bottomline: Drishyam: The Conclusion is thrilling and satisfying.

You can watch the film at a theatre near you.
