Anupama Chopra reviews Hello Bachhon, a Netflix series from TVF that tells the story of Alakh Pandey and the rise of his EdTech company Physics Wallah, with Vineet Kumar Singh in the lead role. Anupama finds the series confounding on multiple fronts — rather than exploring Alakh's journey from a DIY YouTube teacher to startup founder, it skips to the less interesting stretch of an already successful company chasing unicorn status. She notes that roughly half the narrative is given over to heavy-handed student anthology stories that cross the line from celebrating achievement into what feels like a shameless promotional campaign, calling the show a series of corporate videos masquerading as a Shark Tank episode.

Despite Vineet's industrial-sized sincerity, Anupama finds that scenes exist mostly as setups for corny Ted Talk monologues, with only a brief flashback sequence — where Alakh rages after his father belittles his career choice — offering any real humanisation. She points out the irony that TVF, a production house built on startup and education stories, couldn't make this one work even within its own diminished standards. For Anupama, the show's biggest sin is functioning as a hollow PR campaign for a publicly listed for-profit company on Netflix, and she closes by noting that Hello Bachhon sees TVF going back to its original roots — branded content.
