The horror thriller 418, presented by Prashanth Neel, is set for a multilingual release on 23 October after multiple delays. Directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, the film explores supernatural secrets in Room No. 418. Trailers in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada have heightened anticipation for this chilling debut under Mythri Movie Makers' banner.

Mythri Movie Makers has announced October 23 as the new release date of 418, the horror thriller presented by Prashanth Neel, after being postponed twice. The film will be released worldwide in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. It marks Kirtan Nadagouda's directorial debut. The Telugu trailer dropped earlier on September 11, followed by the Hindi, Tamil and Kannada trailers that were released on Monday (October 5).

418 was initially slated for release on July 31. However, as per reports, the film ran into censor certification objections over the level of horror and approached the Revising Committee of the CBFC. The makers did not publicly give a reason for the delay at the time. The film eventually received an A certificate and was slated for September 18.

Then, on 15 September 15, Mythri postponed the film again. In a note, the makers said they were planning a wider multi-language release to take the film to audiences across the country. TeluguOne reported that the decision followed encouraging responses from special screenings, particularly from Hindi exhibitors.

The trailer introduces 18-year-old Vivek (Surya Raj Veerabathini), who struggles to tell reality from hallucination. When a building sealed for 15 years is reopened, all eyes turn to Room No. 418, where its darkest secret appears to be hidden. The arrival of Devika only deepens the dread.

The film stars Chaithra Achar, Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil. Achar, who plays Devika, is the trailer's standout, and her transformation into the character supplies some of its most chilling moments.

Nadagouda, who also wrote the film, has previously worked as an assistant and co-director to Neel. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, with Anil Yerneni as co-producer, and marks Mythri's first foray into horror.

Neel, who previously directed KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023), is currently directing Dragon.
