Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on July 5, exchanging vows in the presence of their closest family members and friends at the actor's Mumbai residence.
The private celebration took place at Aamir's home in Pali Hill and was attended by around 100 to 150 guests. Keeping the event low-key, the guest list was limited to immediate family, close friends and a select group of colleagues from the film industry, making it one of Bollywood's most private celebrity weddings in recent years.
Before the ceremony, Aamir had described the occasion as "a very special day" for his family and requested fans and the media to bless the couple as they began a new chapter together.
The celebrations featured traditional wedding rituals, emotional moments and heartfelt vows. Several videos and photographs from the festivities later surfaced online, offering a glimpse into the otherwise closely guarded event. In one video shared by former India cricketer Irfan Pathan, Aamir and Gauri are seen dancing with family and friends during the celebrations. Another clip captures Gauri delivering her wedding vows, in which she describes Aamir as her "protector" and "shelter."
The wedding brought together personalities from different fields. Business magnate Mukesh Ambani, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and former India cricketer Irfan Pathan were among the prominent guests. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who directed Aamir in Lagaan, also attended the ceremony, along with actors Elli AvrRam, Vir Das, Rhea Chakraborty and politician Raj Thackeray.
The gathering was also a family affair, with Aamir's children, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Rao Khan, in attendance. Gauri's son was also present for the celebrations. Ahead of the ceremony, Ira and Junaid were photographed arriving at Aamir's residence, which had been decorated with festive lights and floral arrangements. Preparations continued through the weekend despite intermittent rain in Mumbai.
The wedding marks a new phase in Aamir's personal life. The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares children Junaid and Ira, before their separation in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and the couple announced their separation in 2021 after 16 years of marriage. They continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan.
Aamir publicly introduced Gauri Spratt as his partner during his 60th birthday celebrations in March last year.
