KVN Productions has unveiled the title glimpse of Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited film, officially named Kaaka after being known as Mega 158 and ChiruBobby2. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film introduces Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, a shrimp-farm supervisor with a hidden, gun-laden persona, and is slated for a Sankranti theatrical release on January 13, 2027.
KVN Productions released the title glimpse for superstar Chiranjeevi's 'Mega 158', on August 13. Officially titled Kaaka, the Bobby Kolli directorial is set to release on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranti window. The glimpse officially announced the film's title, which had previously been referred to as 'Mega 158' and 'ChiruBobby2'.
The video establishes Chiranjeevi's character, K Satyam, as the supervisor of an aquaculture factory primarily engaged in shrimp farming. He is shown carrying on with tasks and giving orders to his team, until a slip-up by a member of his team reveals another side of Satyam's seemingly ordinary facade. Quick glimpses throughout the video reveal Satyam's vast set of guns, an armed Satyam, and a silhoutte of a shooting.
The background score of the video incorporates a remix of 'Gang Gang' from the 1991 Telugu film Gang Leader, which was also led by Chiranjeevi.
Kaaka is set to present the superstar in two distinct looks - one as the bespectacled middle-class avatar, and the second as an energetic younger version.
Alongside Chiranjeevi, the film's cast includes Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, and Getup Srinu.
The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions — the banner behind Jana Nayagan, Toxic and Karavali. Music is by Thaman S, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Antony Ruben. The screenplay is written by Kona Venkat, K. Chakravarthy Reddy, Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri, with dialogues by Bhanu-Nandu.
The collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli has already generated a lot of hype among fans. It marks their second collaboration after Waltair Veerayya.
Chiranjeevi's latest outings include Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Gar (2026), Bholaa Shankar (2023), and Godfather (2022).
Currently, Kaaka is the second movie scheduled for release in the Sankranti 2027 release window. Anil Ravipudi's January 12 Vidudala, starring Daggubati Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty starrer, released announced its title and its theatrical opening day, which is scheduled for January 12, 2027.
Kaaka releases in theatres on January 13, 2027.
