Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced that they are expecting their second child. The couple shared the news on Sunday through a joint Instagram post. The post featured their daughter Dua holding a pregnancy test kit that indicated a positive result.

The announcement received wide attention on social media, with fans and members of the film industry sharing congratulatory messages.

The two actors got married in Italy in 2018 after being in a relationship for several years. Since then, they have continued to remain active in their film careers.

The actors had earlier welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8, 2024. They had announced the birth with a joint post that read, “Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024. Deepika & Ranveer."

The couple later revealed her name, Dua, in November 2024.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone has multiple projects lined up. She is set to appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King. She is also part of director Atlee’s upcoming film with Allu Arjun, tentatively titled AA22xA6.

Padukone has been seeking more balanced work schedules following the birth of her first child. She is said to have opted out of projects such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 after her request for an eight-hour work shift was not met.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, crossed ₹1,000 crore worldwide on December 26 last year, and the film ultimately grossed over ₹ 1,300 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has surpassed ₹1,730 crore to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2026 so far.

Another exciting project he's working on is Pralay, a post-apocalyptic thriller headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Jai Mehta in his feature debut. The film is being co-produced by Singh’s company, Ma Kasam Films, and has a speculated budget of ₹300 crores.
