Raaj Kamal Films International has announced Sreeleela joining Rajinikanth in Ashwath Marimuthu's action thriller 'Dharman.' A video glimpse shared on X highlights her vibrant presence, marking an exciting addition to the star-studded cast.
Raaj Kamal Films International revealed on November 4 that actor Sreeleela will join superstar Rajinikanth in Ashwath Marimuthu's upcoming action thriller, Dharman.
Along with the announcement made on X, the banner also shared a video glimpse featuring animated stills of the actor. The post read, "SHE'S GOT THE SPARK. SHE'S GOT THE PATAKA. Welcoming the gorgeous @sreeleela14 to DHARMAN"
In the video, animated images of Sreeleela show her putting on her jewellery and bindi as she gets ready. It concludes with the words "Sreeleela enters the hearts of Dharman."
In late October this year, the makers had announced another cast joinee, Lady Superstar Nayanthara, in her sixth collaboration with Rajinikanth. The announcement came with a silhouette of the two stars from the film's set.
Dharman, previously referred to as Thalaiavar 173, is Rajinikanth's next film. Directed by Ashwin Marimuthu, the film is being produced by Kamal Haasan under his production banner Raaj Kamal Films. The film is co-produced by R Mahendran of Turmeric Media. Apart from Ashwath, the core team includes Anirudh Ravichander's music and Anbariv as action choreographers. Niketh Bommi is the cinematographer and Pradeep E Ragav is the editor. MR Karthik Rajkumar is the film’s production designer.
Dharman marks Ashwath Marimuthu's first collaboration with Rajinikanth. Marimuthu previously directed Oh My Kadavule (2020), Ori Devuda (2022), the Telugu-language remake of Oh My Kadavule, as well as Dragon (2024), which starred Pradeep Ranganathan.
The upcoming film also co-stars Raashii Khanna and Simran in important roles. Meanwhile, superstars Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth will soon reunite on screen as co-stars. KHxRK (tentative title) has been in the works for several months now, since both the actors announced their intention to team up again. The film will be directed by Nelson, who recently directed Rajini in Jailer 2.
Sreeleela is also starring in Rajkumar Periasamy's Om Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. The actor stars in the upcoming crime drama as Roja, alongside a stacked cast that includes Dhanush, Sai Pallavi, Mammootty, Naseeruddin Shah, Indrans, and more. The third single from Om, titled 'Senjudare', stars Sreeleela in the video and is set to release today.
