Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde's new film has a title. The makers of debutant Ravi Nelakuditi's romantic drama, earlier titled DQ41, have officially revealed its title: Sri Sri.
Dulquer took to X and unveiled a poster that shared the film’s first look, offering a window into the love story led by him and Pooja. The actor wrote: "Love will feel a little extra special with 'Sri Sri'. #DQ41 is #SriSri #LoveWillSparkAgain."
The poster shows the actors sitting over the edge of a terrace wall, sharing a happy moment under a clear blue sky. Pooja is laughing while Dulquer smiles shyly looking down at the ground, hinting at their unassuming romance. Both are seen in school uniforms, giving more context to the nature of their love story.
Sri Sri is the first on-screen collaboration between Dulquer and Pooja, and also also features Dheekshith Shetty and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. The makers are yet to reveal additional details about the extended cast and the film's plot.
The film is backed by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner and marks a major milestone for the production house as it will be their 10th venture. Sri Sri’s crew recently finished an important shooting schedule where several significant sequences were filmed.
The film also marks Pooja's return to Telugu cinema in a leading role after her 2022 action drama Acharya. As for Dalquer, the actor will also be headlining another Telugu film Aakasamlo Oka Tara, set to release this year.
Planned for release in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi, Sri Sri will feature music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, production design by Avinash Kolla and cinematography by Ajay Om Goswami.
