On Prabhas' 47th birthday, the makers of Fauzi unveiled a striking poster featuring the actor in a vintage military look. Set against the British Raj, the historical drama promises action, romance, and emotion, with a stellar cast including Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada. The film's release has been delayed to ensure quality completion.
On October 23, the makers of Prabhas' highly-awaited historical period drama Fauzi revealed a new poster which shows the actor in a new, vintage look. The announcement also coincides with the Prabhas' 47th birthday.
The poster shared by the makers on Instagram features one side of a vintage golden coin and flames surrounding it, signifying the film's period-setting. The coin has an embossed image of the actor in a military uniform, which fuels further curiosity about who he will portray in this historical drama.
The caption reads, "Declassifying File Num : #25. Who is he?' - will be answered today with the video. Happy Birthday, #Fauzi." At the bottom of the poster, the tagline reads, "A Battalion Who Fights Alone."
The film's director Hanu Raghavapudi also shared the poster on X, with a similar caption. "Happy Birthday, MY FAUZI #Prabhas garu . Declassifying File Num : #25 TODAY."
While Fauzi was earlier scheduled for a December 3 release, Y Ravi Shankar, CEO and director of Mythri Movie Makers, who are producing the film, announced in September that the film's release will be delayed as the team needs more time to wrap up the project.
The historical period-drama is set against the backdrop of the British Raj, where Prabhas plays a soldier amid big action scenes combined with romance and emotion. Fauzi also marks the first acting role for the lead actress, Imanvi, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher in supporting roles.
Fauzi adds to Prabhas's list of high-profile upcoming titles, which includes Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD: Part II, and Salaar 2.
