The trailer for Lukkhe, an upcoming Prime Video series marking the acting debut of rapper KING, was recently released. Created and executive produced by Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha, the series is headlined by Raashii Khanna and KING, alongside Palak Tiwari and Lakshvir Singh Saran.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the action-packed world of Lukkhe. Set in Punjab, it explores the colliding worlds of rap, crime, and relationships, promising a gritty and propulsive tale of revenge, redemption, and high-stakes action.

"Lucky, a sportsman, and Sanober, a musician, find their romance caught in the crossfires between police officer Gurbani and upcoming rapper, MC Badnaam, steering a collision course of tough choices that will come to decide the future of all things that Lucky and Badnaam hold dear," reads the synopsis of the series.

The trailer for Lukkhe was unveiled at a music concert in Mumbai, featuring live performances by KING, Amira Gill, Akshath and RUTVXK. As a surprise, the music album of the series was also dropped at the event.

Himank Gaur, the director of Lukkhe, remarked how the series gave him a chance to dive into a dynamic world. “What stayed with me was how every character is chasing something personal, and music becomes their way of expressing it,” said Gaur.

Raashii Khanna, who was last seen in the Telugu action-comedy Ustaad Bhagat Singh earlier this year, noted that playing the character of Gurbani was an intense and fulfilling experience. “What I found most interesting was how her strength comes from something deeply personal, which shapes every decision she makes." she noted, adding how it was important to find a balance between vulnerability and grit.

KING, playing the character of MC Badnaam, shared his experience working on his debut acting project and said, “What drew me in was how real his hunger and need to be heard felt. It’s something I connect with as an artist. Bringing music into his journey made the experience even more personal.”

Palak Tiwari described how her character’s experiences felt realistic, rather than just a work of fiction, with strength and vulnerability being a natural constant, “I really enjoyed exploring those emotions, especially how music becomes her support through everything she goes through.”

Lukkhe will premiere on Prime Video worldwide on May 8.
